Two-ply steel is a material consisting of two layers of dissimilar metals or alloys (for example, 09Г2С+12Х18Н10Т, 09Г2С+10Х17Н13М2Т), manufactured by explosion welding.

Two-ply steel saves expensive materials. Thus, corrosion-resistant two-ply sheet steel features a base layer of carbon or low-alloy steel, and a cladding (protective) layer of corrosion-resistant alloys.

Scope of application:

Oil and gas complex, chemical industry: vessels and pipelines for aggressive media, including hydrogen sulphide, vessels and pipelines operating at normal and high temperatures and pressures, vessels and pipelines operating at low ambient temperatures.
